The World of Lore: Monstrous Creatures by Aaron Mahnke

1.0

This wasn't good or bad in my opinion. It was the sort of non fiction that essentially just tells you things it gets from other sources without breaking new ground or giving you original content. I had hear of 99% of these "stories". Not sure if you would call them myths legends stories retellings or eye witness statements. Who knows.

Started a lot better than it finished the first third was witty and made me smile a few times but then it just get dreary. Simply stating folklore/legend that could be found in any other anthology or hell even a quick google of "true spooky stories"

The very very few illustrations that were in her were just simple black and white printings, nice but nothing wonderful. I feel the whole thing would have been better served by putting pictures of the places it talked about in instead.

I recieved this as an ebook from netgalley. This in no way effected my review or opinion.
