This book was a pleasant surprise! I recently joined Goodreads to help track my reading goals for the year and I entered a giveaway for this book. I don't usually pick this genre when I am shopping for books for myself, but I am trying to branch out and figured if I won it and didn't enjoy it then no harm, no foul.
I LOVED this book! It was quirky, swoony, heartbreaking, hopeful, and shocking - all at once! The main character was easy to relate to, and the adventures she experiences and people she meets in this end of the world rom-com are as unique as they are enjoyable. The writing style allows the reader to connect with the characters on a realistic level. You can truly see yourself navigating the crisis along with the characters.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a light read that will keep you turning the pages long past when you told your housemates "just one more chapter".
