In the aftermath of the Cultural Revolution and the secret height of space exploration, all academics are mysteriously being killed. A secret Virtual Reality video game may be the answer to this decade-long problem -- or the end of all days.

This book would have been easier to understand if I had known the theory of the three-body problem.
For those for whom this might be helpful, the three-body problem describes the motion of three-point mass particles under their mutual gravitational interactions. The three-body problem is considered unsolvable because the motion of the bodies becomes chaotic for most initial conditions.

The book's first half really had me, and then it lost me completely. It was a struggle to finish the book. I am interested in watching the TV show and could be convinced to read the next book.
