the writing of this book felt very "internet" i guess and while at times it was funny i didn't go in expecting it which kinda lowered my enjoyment (kind of like a less well written gideon the ninth?). and while the characters were enjoyable and i liked them i didn't feel much inter-character conflict which i would have liked more of. they all kind of immediately decided to do what is good and join up even though they were on opposite sides minutes before. but i will have to say that the world was sooo unique and the plot gripping so i did find this ultimately enjoyable.
