I enjoyed reading this book. The world building was awesome - I loved the whole concept of crafters and the paper/magical element. I think the storyline was well thought out, and the book ended in a way where I had to buy the next two in the trilogy, since I’m desperate to find out how it ends. The only thing that fell flat for me was the characters and character development. I wasn’t really attached to any of the characters, and I think it needed to go more in depth so that I felt more of a connection to them. Overall, I think the characters were quite surface level, however that might change in the next 2 books, so I’m excited to read them and see if my opinion changes. Overall, this was an enjoyable read with a really cool concept and world.
