The author has gifted her readers with a couple you can’t help but cheer on to a happily ever after. Penny and Tripp have been best friends since they were babies, but each has secretly yearned to be more than friends since their teenage years. Neither has had the courage to reveal their true feelings to the other, fearing their feelings are one sided and the revelation would cause a rift between them. It takes Penny’s engagement to another man to shake things up for Tripp and make him realize he has to reveal what has been in his heart for years or really lose any chance to claim her as his own, even if it means spiriting her away when she is at the altar with another man.
Their story is entertaining, emotional and a tad twisty with plenty of spice and steam as they finally claim each other. Both are stubborn, loyal to a fault and very good at keeping their hidden depths secret until they finally allow themselves to reveal them to the other. Let’s just say there are a few surprises to both Penny and Tripp’s personalities. Their chemistry is super hot and combustible once they are no longer trying to control and hide it. I love the banter, the dirty talk, how Penny keeps Tripp on his toes and their soul-deep connection. They really are meant for each other.
I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful book.
