The American Roommate Experiment by Elena Armas

5.0

wow, this book blew away all the expectations I had. It's one of those " you read the first sentence and you already know you are gonna like this book " kind of book. The sort of book that keeps getting better as you fly through the chapters. Rosie and Lucas remind me of couples that finish each other's sentences and understand the challenges that happen in a relationship. I think a big reason I liked this book is that you can never dream too big to get what you deserve in this life. No matter how big or small.

Lucas is actually the definition of the book boyfriend that can easily be a husband. Understanding, selfless, and will truly do anything to make his loved ones happy. Rosie's a reflection of myself in more ways than one since she's an immigrant first-daughter that puts her needs before her own. The need to breathe in her own skin vs wanting to not waste away her talents that her father sacrificed for her to be here was a battle that was so important to exemplify in this book. I cried towards the end but the tears were worth it! The writing, plot, grand gestures, and love were just .... whew! no words can sum up how much I adored this book. That's why this is a 5-star read for me (:

Now go read it. :D
