A perfect ending to this series. I absolutely loved  it, for many of the same reasons that I enjoyed Ancillary Sword. But especially: the character development, the humour and the conclusion.

The protagonists became even more lovable, particularly all of the relationships between the humans, the ships, Station, etc. I felt like the humour and overall style of dialogue was really honed in this book, and I really enjoyed it. Lots of laughs and wistful sighing from me. Translator Zeiat and Sphene were great additions to the cast, expanding what we know about this universe while also providing an excellent source of humour.

Spoiler paragraph:
I'm sincerely glad there were no unnecessary and dramatic deaths. For some reason I was convinced that either Tisarwat, Sievarden or Breq would die and I would be very upset. I am so happy I was wrong!

I wasn't sure what I was expecting for the conclusion of this series, but I'm glad it wasn't the same kind of ending as with the second book. It's low key and believable, and of course not a real ending at all - simply another step forward.
