Fugitive Six by Pittacus Lore

4.0

Truly I am surprised at how many books set in this universe have been cranked out... and I've enjoyed them all. This book is action-packed like the other Lorien Legacies / Lorien Legacies Reborn books, although it was surprisingly slow at some points. I wouldn't necessarily say it was boring, but it did take me a lot longer to finish Fugitive Six than it has for me to finish the other books in this series.

The strong point of Fugitive Six is the characters. Everyone has their own unique personality, which is impressive considering how many characters there are. At some points I was overwhelmed with the amount of characters and wanted to hear more from certain characters' POVs, but overall, I was impressed with the diversity that the earlier books in Lorien Legacies lacked. I was also surprised at different approach to tone; there's definitely moral grayness, especially towards the end. That's not a bad thing, but it is different from the more straightforward morals in the other books.

Fugitive Six ends with a lot going on, so I'm excited to see how it will all wrap up in the last book.
