Daddy Wanted by Susi Hawke, Piper Scott

1.0

This bordered on being absurd for me. Let me elaborate (rant incoming) :

It was a little too much. There is mpreg, an out-of-control musician, 'daddy' kink, an overly caricatured antagonist, a stalker. All in one book. Also, there was a few too many "Boy"s sprinkled in there for me to keep a straight face.

SPOILER WARNING:

The relationship: I never felt the MCs personalities, nor did I feel a connection between them. It's straight from business arrangement to love. Also, why call Thorne a daddy when he was more like a lifestyle coach with dominating tendencies? As someone who has read their fair share of daddy kink, this book fell a off the wagon for me.

The stalker: I get the need for added drama, but then why have it all happening off page? Why not hear about the kidnapning from Toby's POV as it is happening rather than through Thorne as Toby tells the story.

The antagonist: The storyline with Tommy was legit enough, but his whole character was too caricatured for me to take him and the conflict seriously.

I understand that Alpha-omega /mpreg dynamics are often a little far fetched in terms of realism, but this was too much for me.
