The Son of Summer Stars by Meredith Ann Pierce

4.0

An excellent conclusion to a unique and captivating series. Though Dark Moon had its weak moments, Pierce manages in Son of Summer Stars to tie all the hints and loose threads from the first two books into a beautiful, satisfying weave.

Her characters are deep and complex, and the different societies of her world each unique and distinct from one another. But in the end, it is Pierce's elevated, well-crafted writing which brings the books together, writing that shines with a brilliance like her summer stars. I can't wait to go back and re-read the Firebringer Trilogy.
