There was no putting this book down once I started it. I went into this not knowing that it was part of a series, and yes, there are a couple of characters who obviously already had their time in the spotlight sharing their own love story, but it was difficult to lament the fact that I didn't get to read the series in order. Why? Because Sam and Jason and their story was simply too engrossing to be distracted from. Sam's past is painful to read, and I'm going to insert a trigger warning here, because there are various forms of abuse that she goes through, so be aware. As much as Sam tells Jason she trusts him, being in a relationship like theirs is something she has very little experience with, especially since her first and last one wasn't really based on love, so there are moments that she reacts without really taking the time to think things through. Jason, too, has his moments wherein he lets his emotions and insecurities get the better of him. Their story is all about them slowly but surely being more open and honest about their pasts and pushing one another to be more trusting. Overall, Disgrace was a good book and has me adding the first five books in the Choices series on my to-be-read list. I'm giving this new erotic romance 4.5 stars. ♥
