The Baby Dragon Café by A.T. Qureshi

saphira is finally realizing her dream of owning a café designed for baby dragons and their humans, but it’s proving to be much harder than she anticipated. the cost of replacing all the burnt furniture and equipment is more than saphira can keep up with. aiden, a local gardener and heartthrob, is more interested in his plants than in his disobedient baby dragon. the two strike a deal for saphira to train aiden’s baby dragon in exchange for receiving what she needs to keep the café going. along the way, the two start developing feelings for each other.

aamna qureshi is one of my favorite authors, so i was very excited to read her first adult novel! i loved the coziness of this book, from being set in a café to training a baby dragon to falling in love. that said, there were some heavier topics discussed, such as grief and classism, but these didn’t weigh on the overall mood too much. i loved saphira and aiden so much; they are the epitome of grumpy x sunshine. i had a lovely time reading this, and i can’t wait for the sequel!
