This was a difficult novella to follow, due in part, I think, to the rather monotonous narrator. There were two flashbacks on different characters that threw me out of the story, and I confess I was most interested in Yetu’s story and her desire for a sense of self among her duty and people. Upon reflection after finishing, the added perspectives and stories did add depth to the story, but I wonder if reading a physical copy may have been more engaging.
