Galatea by Madeline Miller
4.0
A brutal short story in which Miller once again takes underwritten women of myth and gives them a story. It's not a happy one, but it's ultimately a story of power. In speaking to the experience of thousands of women in relationships with men who demand perfection, I think it's a more resonant and powerful interpretation of the story than most others - and it achieves this in a 10-15 minute read.
Immediately makes me want to re-read Circe.
