Autobiografia Unui Yoghih - Romanian by Paramahansa Yogananda

3.0

I wanted to love this book. There were really good parts and glimpses into something great but for me it contained far too much of an emphasis on gurus and religious teachers, and a lot of far fetched and fanciful anecdotes that I couldn't quite believe. From religious people who fought wild animals and didn't even get scratched to holy men who could live without eating or sleeping, I think the emphasis got lost in this book for me. I wanted it to be more spiritual and something everyone could connect to. Something that conveyed a deeper meaning or purpose. It was difficult for me to get much to help with personal growth through reading this book. I just wish it focused less on these stories and the men themselves, and more on something more.
