Spoon by Amy Krouse Rosenthal

5.0

Age: Preschool - 2nd grade

"Spoon has always been a happy little utensil. But lately he feels like life as a spoon just isn't cutting it. He thinks Fork, Knife, and Chopsticks all have it so much better than him. But do they? "Spoon" serves as a gentle reminder to celebrate what makes each child special" (Goodreads feature review).

A delightful subject for young children interested in their surroundings. After Spoon's parents reassure him of all the things he can do, he lies in bed unable to sleep due to his excitement. That is, until "there was only one thing to do"...to spoon! One of the cutest endings to a book, perfectly executed.
