The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata

2.0

This was hard to rate because I need to shout out loud to people apparently - puppies are not gifts. Animals are not gifts. They are a responsibility that needs to be discussed with both partners. And the fact that she left the puppy in the crate in the garage all day and night and joked when it had an accident was just sickening. Has the author ever even owned an animal? How else would they think this was ok. No matter how much the story was enjoyable, I can’t in good conscience rate it any higher.

Now for the story if I pretend that horrible scene didn’t happen.

This was pretty good. I felt that it dragged on a bit longer than it needed to though. But honestly at the beginning there was no reason for her to go back to him because he was such a dick. Then she was so wish washy about it for so long I started to get annoyed.

This was my second book by this author and it wasn’t as good.
