⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After reading several books from each author, I think it's safe to say I prefer Riley Sager's writing over Grady Hendrix...I appreciate Hendrix's writing style for a dark comedy type approach to horror, but I have to be in the right space for that. I'm very much in a suspense/thriller/mystery phase right now, so Sager's work just fits in just a little better.

I enjoyed this read, and maybe it's because I'm getting geared up for IGGPPCamp (virtual summer camp with a geeky vibe) so the summer camp setting of this book was fitting. The one thing I started to notice, though, that got kind of old was the end of each chapter seemed to be written as if it were supposed to be the most suspenseful thought ever, and we're supposed to hang onto every last word into the next chapter. It was good the first couple times, but the more it was used, it kind of made me roll my eyes.

Overall I liked the story, the ending was OK... a little bit cheesy, but satisfying I guess.
