This is a deeply emotional book that takes on the struggles of being a teenage girl, while told in the point of view of the disgusting male gaze. I’m still saddened that I did not get to see the girls POV in their own story, but The Virgin Suicides is a timeless classic and must read to those who manage well with upsetting themes.
Graphic: Suicidal thoughts, Suicide, Stalking, and Suicide attempt
Minor: Ableism, Emotional abuse, Misogyny, and Racial slurs
