The family is a farming family and the struggles Kate and her husband Matt face really highlight the struggles it is to be a farmer. Lots of the issues are covered in the Clarkson’s farm TV show so if you watched and enjoyed that, and also love thriller books, then this book is for you!
This is a great book but the story does explore dementia and memory loss which is awful and can be a trigger for some.
I found the story easy to read and I thought I had guessed all the major twists. How wrong I was! Every single twist absolutely shocked me!
