The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan

5.0

So the book starts off with “Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood.” Percy Jackson(my beautiful sassy demigod) finding out that everything professor Brunner (Chiron) had said well was true-, Percy never exactly fitted anywhere, he continuously changed schools and that kinda made me love him more, not because of sympathy but if you are a person who never quite fitted in a place it just give you hope that there are people around who are just like you and a place you belong, like a actual home (bookstagram friends, you are my home). Anyway as soon as he gets familiar with Camp half blood he is sent on a quest with Annabeth ( i can write an article on how much i love her and how amazingly smart and fierce smart she is) and Grover(literally us in a quest). And then over the next 4 years they go on quests, meet people, make friends(Nico my uwu precious son who literally spoke few of the best lines in the series), destroy enemies and solve riddles and by the end defeat grandpa kronos and then it all ends with “for once I didn't look back”. *sobs*

Characters I loved - Literally everyone, the characters were awesome and the character growth they got as an individual and as a group is just so beautiful and even the bad guys were so nicely written. Their motives were so well written and understandable(except Kronos, he was bleh) but Luke and demigods who sided with him, it was more than just some power and ruling the world.

Characters I hated - smelly Gabe(his ending was nice though), Zeus and Hera

Nextly, the way each book revolves around a prophecy and a quest was literally an amazing idea. Also, I'm very thankful for not introducing too many Greek characters for my tiny brain.
I'm very thankful for not introducing too many Greek characters for my tiny brain.

Also I wanna put some light on these beautiful characters: Sally Jackson a literal queen and makes our signature blue cookies.
Clarisse, okay you don't understand how much I love this character she went from a bully to literally helping Percy, I am not saying she is good but her growth is just-
Zoe, I loved her so much and when she died I swear I wanted to cry so much cause she absolutely did not deserve it and Rachel, okay if you hate her because she had a crush on Percy, I will fight you. As much as I love Percabeth, Rachel doesn't deserve the hate. She literally said yes i'll help you in the Labyrinth even though she knew she is a mortal and can die- and she literally came from her vacation, making a deal with her father to go to a weird school just to save her friends. So please don't hate her.
And lastly Nico di angelo, my pretty boy and my son. He went through so much lost his mother lost so many many years at lotus casino and then lost his sister. No doubt he has one of the best character arcs, best lines and a very relatable character.

Also Mr. D aka our lovely hilarious Wine god may not have been the best person, but the guy was hilarious and cared for the demigods even if he did not showed in the post presentable way and had a addiction for Diet Coke (exactly like me)
