Is there some helpful advice? Sure. However, I couldn't stomach how many of their examples involved restricting children's access to food and/or not letting them eat unless chores were done, apologies were made, etc. Also, some of the example conversations were so cheesy it almost felt like the author had never spoken to a child before. Over all, some of the principles are sound, but I would never follow their methods to the letter, and certainly never with children with special needs, trauma, or foster children.
