I understand why I DNFed this in Freshman year of high school GOD. This was such a slog to get through that not even sweet elderly lesbians could save it.

I didn't enjoy the plot, and unlike book one in this series, There was no Percy Jackson to hook me in and get me to care. Apolester is fine and Meg is starting to grow on me. I do NOT like Leo enough to care that he basically was here the whole book. And Calypso irritates me, though not as much as I remember being annoyed by her in high school. Thank god people say this is one of the worst Riordan books out there because I can NAUGHT take much more of that.

On the bright side we are now officially moving into uncharted territory. I haven't read any TOA book from this point onwards...(Unless we're counting Magnus Chase, of which I've read the first 2.)
