Bad Deal
by Annabeth Albert
This book started off on the wrong foot for me and never recovered. The dog felt way too important and was constantly mentioned which grated on my nerves. Every scene the dog was mentioned as being in the background, was the centerpiece, or was being discussed. On top of the excessive amount of dog, the two leads had no chemistry together. They had multiple conversations that felt like therapy talk and these moments were very awkward. Harley has been my least favorite of the A-list security members so far, and Ambrose got on my nerves. I was very disappointed considering how much I have enjoyed the author's other books and the rest of the series.
