A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston
5.0
I just…wow.
This novel brought me to tears of joy and sadness simultaneously. I learned my joy of reading from someone who is no longer here. I learned my joy of storytelling from the same person. This book was such a beautiful reminder of how those who are no longer with us will continue to live on through their impacts.
Elsy and Anders remembered Rachel through her stories (which led to them meeting in the actual town of the novels in some way), and I remember those who have impacted me through their stories and the lessons they taught me.
Anders especially is such a beautiful character. Seeing him learn to live again in the world created by the former love of his life, and eventually finding out that he could not only live, but love again was so beautiful.
Ashley Poston’s books have written about grief, and continuing life after loss is such a wonderful way. Her words are truly magical.
