Under His Kilt by Melissa Blue

This was a fun and steamy novella. At first I went in feeling a bit dubious, since the blurb on Goodreads has a few minor typos. I was quickly charmed by the author's voice. Jocelyn and Ian read like the kind of people you might actually meet in real life, and the conflict wasn't the overblown drama that seems to litter lots of contemporary romance. I'm not sure I would have tolerated it for a full-length novella, but for the word count, it was just right.

I loved that Jocelyn was the kind of woman who went for what she wanted, and Ian was a dreamboat who seemed like a totally believable guy to me. The Scottish bit also helped bring the sexy.

I would read more from this author. Her voice is a lot of fun, and I love her style.
