Elemental Mating by Milly Taiden

not awful and kinda fun but copyediting is important folks. I enjoyed the way in which the story was resolved with an authorial handwave (legitimately, no sarcasm because I appreciated how unapologetic it was) . Bonus points for not being weird about setting it in Uganda. Which is hard to explain unless you've been present for my real life rants whenever authors treat the African continent like it's fucking desert Narnia. I'd probably rate it two stars if it weren't for that and the sheath bit. I grew up reading sword & sorcery so that made me snicker. Solid Taiden book and I'll likely read more in the series.
