These books are just perfect reading slump material because after two weeks of barely reading I devoured this within 24 hours. This is the third book in the series and the third I have read and it wasn’t my favourite but either way I was hooked.
I really liked that this book followed a character in the police force, meaning we saw a different side to the mystery and investigation. The main reason I pick these books up is for the geography and location and that didn’t disappoint!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t get behind the romance but that’s how I’ve often felt with these books. They all follow a similar formula of ‘here’s a man who’s immediately attractive and he has a fancy house because he’s quite a big deal in his creative job’ which can be a little too repetitive.
Either way I appreciate that these books are a bit of summer fun and I really wish I could binge more of them!
