I love Bardugo's Grishaverse: anyone who publishes a book of fairy tales for an imaginary world is truly after my own heart.

Having loved all her other books so thoroughly increased the touch of disappointment reading this one. Mostly, I think that it would have been better as a trilogy. The plot would often take running jumps forward, still sensible but feeling like parts of the story were missing. Similarly, there were a number of character-based twists that would have benefitted from spending more time with them.

Still enjoyed it, will still read more if she writes them, and look forward to the stories that she started in this one.
