This book didn't work for me at all. First of all it has 3 different time lines and I didn't feel like it was always obvious when certain parts were taking place. Using italics to show time differences is annoying and the story also regularly shifted during the chapters without a subtitle. However, it could just be my personal experience, as I'm not a fan of time changes to begin with.
However, my biggest annoyance was with their relationship. I won't give it all away, but I wished she would move far far away and start her own vineyard somewhere far away from Lucas and he could go to hell. Their relationship was toxic. He treated her horribly. The explanation was utterly ridiculous en there was hardly any grovel to possibly make it all okay. I just didn't enjoy this.
If the things mentioned above, don't scare you away, by all means go for it.
I guess I'm the odd one out again, as the majority seems to love it.
