Burn It All Down by Nicolas DiDomizio

3.0

A really fun buddy comedy style book about a mom and son who are on the run after a revenge tactic on an ex goes horribly wrong.

I do wonder if this book missed its audience by being categorized incorrectly and feel that, with the teenage main character and his spot-on voice, this book could have been more at home in the YA space. I loved how deeply and terribly flawed Joey was in the way that all heartbroken and scorned teens are (though there were a lot of exclamation points) and feel like with a bit more developing as a YA book instead could have really hit home with a lot of young people transitioning in big moments of their lives.
