The Right Player
by Kandi Steiner
This story follows Belle, who stopped dating after she was dumped by her football boyfriend, but things changed when a man walked through her business doors. I loved this book a lot more than book one. Just the instant chemistry between Belle and Makoa was amazing. The writing style of this story is still the same, with a great storyline and conflicts to keep the book going. I was never bored with the story and ate this book up. I love learning more about Belle’s job and seeing her at work along with Makoa being a new Bear. This book is told from both of their povs.
Belle breaks off relationships after the third night but something is different with Makoa. I loved seeing her grow just because of her past and loved her independence. Then we have Makoa who is a teddy bear and his care for Belle is just so cute. We do have the MCs from book 1 as the side characters in this book but they don’t take the spotlight. The romance is instant love, friends to lovers, and second chance with some steamy scenes.
The ending was well done, and I loved it, especially with the new edition having a bonus scene. This was such a cute book that I read it fairly quickly because I loved it. It was just everything I want in my sports romance book.
