Symptoms of a Heartbreak by Sona Charaipotra

2.0

I was super excited for this book, but found it very underwhelming and kind of disappointing. Saira doesn't feel lie the prodigy genius she's supposed to be nor does she feel like a relatable 16 year old protagonist. Overall, she just feels like a rather whiny/pouty girl pretending to be a doctor. I can understand Saira wanting a relationship with a patient her age; I can't understand her pouting (verbatim of what the book says) to her fellow doctors and superiors - despite the fact that she mentions time and time again that she wants to be viewed as an adult.
Overall, not a very compelling story or romance.
