Clara by Kurt Palka
5.0
It's the 2nd Kurt Palka e-book I've read and have really enjoyed his style. The first was The Piano Maker.
The thing I liked about CLARA is all the philosophical study of the narrator, Clara, which helped her rationalize to survived some of the ugliness to come. It's good to see that war is suffering for everyone, no matter where it is in the world. Seeing characters make choices that you know in hindsight are just wrong, but the author makes you see the possibilities in those choices. I cared very much for all the characters, and especially their aged selves.
