capella 's review for:
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
by C.S. Lewis
adventurous
dark
mysterious
fast-paced
Wasn't my favourite Narnia book as a kid but it's very good at telling a straightforward story with an aura of mystery around it, and serves as a good introduction to the world even if it's not the first chronologically- I feel the order in which they were written reveals the mysteries of the world more logically so you're not starting off with a massive loredump.
