I loved Legendborn and the world Tracy Deonn created, but Bloodmarked brought everything to a whole new level!
There was so much detail put into both the world-building and the relationships in this story. These are YA books so we don't get the "high fantasy" level of world-building, but we get just enough to keep us interested while leaving some mysteries for future books.
And, as with Legendborn, Deonn flawlessly weaves black culture and history throughout the plot and the magic itself. Watching Bree unapologetically claim her power was so inspiring.
And let's not forget THAT ENDING. My heart cannot handle it. Book 3 is necessary for my mental health. I think fans of YA fantasy will adore these books and I'll be stalking Tracy Deonn's socials for news of book 3!
