I remember reading this book in middle school and enjoying it, but rereading it as an adult just made me cringe. The concept, absolutely great. The way it’s written though is just cringe.
And I’ll say right now, 16 year olds who still say mommy and daddy…cringe. Sorry, but it’s just weird to me.
I will finish the series just because I don’t like being left hanging and they’re short enough I won’t mind. But it’s not a series I will read again.
