Talerie AKA Orchid was a forced to be reckoned with & this story was truly something special. Granny Irene was my absolute favorite & I have a feeling Keira N. James has a real Granny Irene or grandmother that she holds near & dear to her heart because it was simply too much emotion put into this character. The love she put into her character could be felt through the pages.
Talerie’s childhood traumas certainly bled over into her adulthood, seeing a parental figure being abused will certainly stick with you. When unforeseen circumstances forced her back to her roots, Orchid blooms (pun intended) into a new identity and a new outlook on life.
If you love stories with character depth, and some good ole fashion vigilante justice this is the one! She-ro or criminal? You decide! My thoughts… Innocent until proven guilty 🤷🏽♀️
