For reasons too long to go into, I'm reading this book as a 36 year old, and not the 10 year I wanted to be when I first saw these books. I'm going to have to assume this series did but age well. Jessica has zero redeeming qualities. Elizabeth has no back bone. I don't want to say my mother was right by keeping me from these but well....
