Initial Response
I...have so many mixed feelings about this book...I just can't.

High Lights
- THE CHARACTERS as always are so fun. :)
- The dialogue is sparkling and hilarious.
- The plot is twisty-turny and full of suspense and it left me guessing around every turn.

Low Lights
- *sigh* ...I wish there wasn't so much about this book I didn't like.
- The language, violence, and sex seem to have been amped up for book two. I didn't get an icky feeling reading Six of Crows. :(
-
Jesper and Wylan are a couple...Which is fine for them, but it seemed to come totally out of the blue. I just wasn't even expecting it, it felt so sudden. It didn't feel genuine to me.

-
MATTHIAS. *cries forever and ever*

-
I WAS WAITING FOR INEJ AND KAZ TO PRONOUNCE THEIR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER. But that moment never came. Although, they did hold hands for, like, a few minutes in the last chapter, which I will admit was pretty adorable because Kaz had taken his gloves off. :)

Conclusion
I was disappointed. Plain and simple. So much so, that towards the middle of the book, I just started skimming it and reading the dialogue. Because the dialogue is SO GOOD. But, sadly, it just didn't hit it the mark for me. ;(
