More: A Memoir of Open Marriage by Molly Roden Winter
3.0
fast-paced

The title kind of tells you all you need to know. The author wants more, something is missing from her life. She's happily married, has kids, a career, friends, so what is it? The hero's quest toward self-realization happens through dating multiple men.

I know that we're relational beings and we can't learn about ourselves in a vacuum. And goddess knows, I'm not here to criticize other people's marriages. Be polyamorous if it helps you find yourself. But I felt there was so much more that was interesting about Molly besides the details of her sex life, so much more that depth to her story than we get here. It felt like there was a critique of bourgeois marriage that was missing here. In some ways, this book is like Glennon Doyle's Untamed  minus the connection of your own personal work to making the world more just for others who have less power than you, and plus a whole lot of f*cking.
