I feel like this book has its feet in two worlds which created a tension for me.  There is the Jasper story line that does a great job of showing how bad things can happen to good people and is a modern day story of Job.  Then there is a romance that starts out well and then moved way too fast and feels awkward and superficial juxtaposed against Jasper's storyline.  The end of Jasper's story made it worth reading for me.  Beautiful ending!
