Scandalous! Absolutely facinating what royalty can get away with. No other marriage would the wife be in competition with a mistress to be able to vacation with her husband and the mistress gets mad cause the wife or Queen has nicer apartments then she? Unreal.I found it was sometimes a bit disjointed as Eleanor Herman ends with one family but 100 pages later starts on about them again only this time covering the son's exploits. This I found hard to follow,I sometimes did not make the family connection right away or at all. But still quite enjoyable
