Taming Demons for Beginners by Annette Marie

5.0

I had so much fun with this book.
Robin does make stupid decisions at times, but it's reasonable because she did not grow up knowing much about the magical world. She knew that she and her parents were part of magical lineages, but her parents had always warned her not to practice magic and to stay away from it altogether. It's not until her parents die and she goes to live with her uncle, that she starts to see magic used in real life. You can forgive her stupidity because she truly does not know how magic works.
Zylas, the demon, is already a favorite of mine. It's very clear that he's smart and calculating. He's also sort of funny, but that's cause he doesn't understand human interactions very well.
I really like their partnership, cause I can see how Robin is terrified of Zylas and I can also see how Zylas thinks that Robin makes stupid decisions.
I don't think this is a spoiler, but I'll put it under the spoiler tag
Spoiler I can't wait to continue the series to see how they get out of their current situation and to see what happens next. The ending of this book is not a normal cliffhanger. It ends with a lot a of open and unanswered questions.
What a great read!

****Great Read, 4 Stars****
