Alright, I've had enough. I've been on a Lisa Kleypas reading kick for the past couple of weeks and I can't stand it anymore. I've been trying to recapture the original happy feeling I had while reading the Wallflowers and Hathaways, but her earlier work is just not good. There is a decidedly "rapey" feeling behind all of the interactions between the two main characters in Because You're Mine. There relationship had the scary vibe of a victim and abuser. Logan literally tells Maddy that he will use her body whenever he wants, that she won't enjoy it and she has no choice in the matter. Last time I checked that was called rape. I am so done.
