After That Night
by Karin Slaughter
Ok, obviously I’m Slaughter Squad for life, but this latest installment of the Will Trent series exceeded my expectations. Karin Slaughter is a true master of her craft, and has done it again.
Spoilers, (maybe?): In particular, I enjoyed that we get some more answers about Sara’s past. It gave me some Pretty Girl vibes, which remains my all time favorite by Slaughter, so I feel I was bound to like it. I have read some reviews that it’s “not as good as other Will Trent books,” and I think I have to disagree there. These same reviews seem to largely be by people who haven’t read the whole series. While most of the Will Trent books, including this one, can be read as a standalone- with the dive into Linton’s past, you’re bound to miss out on quite a bit.
Overall, I will continue to sing my praises of Karin Slaughter to all that will listen. Can’t wait for what’s up next!
