There just doesn't seem to be much of a story here. I felt like there was a lot of detail about the main character's poor self image, what people were wearing, what people were eating ... A bunch of details that *might* help to paint a picture, but were really unnecessary. There was so much emphasis on those unnecessary details, I think the author forgot to write the actual mystery. IT seems to be the newer trend to cozy mysteries. Honestly, if I'd started reading cozies with books like this, I wouldn't have continued to read them.
