Wow. I was really worried that this was just going to be another Beauty and the Beast retelling, but it wasn't at all! Beautiful writing, plenty of intense foresty magic, and characters who actually develop along with the plot. I loved the setting and all the different kinds of spirits. I also loved that the romance didn't take over the plot completely.
