Dream Story by Arthur Schnitzler

3.0

I read this as a fan of Eyes Wide Shut, and it did not disappoint. The film is nearly a page by page adaptation of the novel. I also think that being familiar with the movie helped me give greater emotions to certain scenes than I would have otherwise. Even though it's similar to the movie, it was really worth reading because the setting of 1920s Europe made this incredibly interesting to read. Getting a greater sense of how life was in this time and place was awesome.
